Each year, on the final weekend of August, readers and writers gather in Dunkeld for a weekend of books, ideas and conversation beneath the mountains of Gariwerd.

Dunkeld Writers Festival brings leading Australian authors, artists, thinkers and storytellers to our small regional town, creating an intimate festival experience where stories are shared, ideas are challenged and connections are made.
