Claire has had a 20-year career in journalism. In particular she has been book editor at the Herald-Sun. She is a hiker, a climber, a lover of wild places. 

Her new book, a crime thriller set in the Wimmera shows how dramatic the landscape can be in story. Her book, The Crag, is indicative of the landscape as a character by using the atmosphere of the Mt. Arapiles area.
