Kate is a Melbourne-based writer whose first novel, Skylarking, was enthusiastically received. She followed it with The Mother Fault and the best-selling Hummingbird Effect. 

Kate writes across many genres, fiction, young adult, and S-F. She is a popular addition to many writers’ festivals and will be conducting writing workshops with the students at Dunkeld Consolidated School.
