Margaret was born in London to Australian parents and grew up in small country towns across Victoria. Margaret writes about people who yearn to be better, people who love life and land and people whose capacity for hope has been described as funny, heartbreaking and true.
Marg's best seller 'Cutters End' has recently been shortlisted for the 2022 Ned Kelly prize for best Debut Crime fiction. Marg holds a PhD in Creative Writing, specialising in depictions of landscape in Australian literature. She feels fortunate to have lived and worked in rural towns for most of her life.
